ENROLL IN HYPERBARIC SAFETY COURSE
After the taking Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine, where can hyperbaric professionals go to better participate in their facilities' overall safety? We recommend directing your team to the following HYPERBARIC SAFETY course: "Introduction to the Role of Hyperbaric Safety Director".
This course is NOT JUST for technicians wanting to become a facility safety director. This 2-day livestream course is intended for a wide audience of health care providers involved in the provision of hyperbaric medicine, including hyperbaric physicians, baromedical nurses, hyperbaric technicians, and admin.
Bring your team to this interactive, live course to gain a better understanding of how to maintain a safe hyperbaric facility. Taught by Derrall Garrett, CHT, ADMIN, HC-S*D and Richard “Gus” B. Gustavson, MPH, RN, CHRNC, CHT, CRT, HC-S*D. Students completing the course should be able to:
- List the regulatory agencies involved in defining hyperbaric codes.
- Design fire safety codes.
- Define engineering standards.
- Describe the emergency medical response for various medical emergencies.
- Describe who is responsible for hyperbaric equipment maintenance and potential equipment issues.
- Define the most effective infection control standard.
- Describe what resources are available in developing training standards and an effective safety program.
This is course approved for 16 Cat A credit hours
Licenses eligible for CME/CEUs: MD, DO, RN, LPN, CNS, ARNP, CNA, CH
- CHT, CHRN: This live activity is approved for 16 Category A credit credit hours by NBDMT
- CHS: The UHMS designates this course for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).
- Physician CME: The UHMS designates this course for a maximum of 16 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).
- Nursing/RRT Contact Hours: Approved for 16 contact hours.
