Course Overview

This package set meets the NBDHMT re-certification requirements for the 12 Category A + 9 "core competency" related CEUs required for CHT recertification.

As per the NBDHMT CHT Resource Manual updated February 2019: "A minimum of 24 hours of education credits (hours) are required during each re-certification period. 

At least 12 must be Category A, defined as education and training directly related to the practice of undersea, hyperbaric or hypobaric medicine. Of these 12 credits, at least 9 (75%) must relate to ‘core competency’, namely technical, operational and safety aspects of the hyperbaric/hypobaric delivery system."

This package of courses fulfills the 12 Category A credits and core competency portions of the re-certification requirement.

About the instructor: 

Michael White, MD, UHM, MMM, CWS

Dr. White is boarded in family medicine, undersea and hyperbaric medicine, and is a certified wound specialist.

Formerly serving as Chief Medical Officer for Universal Medical Management and later at Hendry Regional Medical Center in Clewiston, FL. He currently serves as the Medical Director at the Palmetto Baptist Advanced Wound Care Center in Columbia, SC. 

Dr. White received his Doctorate of Medicine from Marshall University and completed a Masters of Medical Management from Tulane University in 2009. He has been with Wound Care Education Partners since 2011.
