Darryl Werner, MD

Darryl Werner, M.D. has many years of experience practicing Hyperbaric and Medicine and wound care and recently joined the Wound Care Education Partners (WCEP) faculty.

Dr. Werner graduated from the Keck /University of Southern California Medical School in 1988 and completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in 1991. Recreational scuba diving led to an interest in Hyperbaric Medicine and, in 1994, an appointment as Medical Director of Hyperbaric Medicine and wound healing at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, California.

Dr. Werner earned ABEM board certification in Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine in 2002, and in 2004 he founded Orange County Wound and Hyperbaric as his own independent medical practice where he continues to practice today. Dr. Werner teaches Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine courses with WCEP, and is also a UHMS Facility Accreditation Surveyor.

On the personal side, Dr. Werner lives in Seal Beach, Ca with his wife, Heather, and daughter, Jenna. He regularly plays ice hockey with “old guys” and just bought his first boat!
